mealtime blogging: 司徒華之死
司徒華 died yesterday and most of Hong Kong are mourning. But I think this seems to be like when Mao Zedong died. Everyone had to give a gesture of mourning even though they might not be sad at all. It’s funny that Donald Tsang thank Szeto for going against 5 constituencies referendum and supporting his political reform plan.
Through messages and news about his death I can see how history can be and has been twisted. People are omitting his faults and praising him like a god. Yes he did do many things and he contributed a LOT, perhaps most in Hong Kong, but he is not flawless. His 2 major contributions are teachers rights movement and keeping the memory of june 4th alive throughout all these years. But at the end he took Democratic Party to CCP’s side. People are ignoring that, completely ignoring the fact that Democratic Party is fooled and voted for the evil reform plan because of Szeto’s leadership.
李少光 is making a very stupid political move. He should've left the sentence that 王丹 doesn't have to come to Hong Kong out because this is totally none of his business. He could say he's thinking about it and then do nothing, but saying that Wang doesn't have to come is making enemy out of not only the fans of Szeto, but also anyone rallying for the freedom of movement, of speech.
